Posted: 7/7/2007

The 2006-2007 Chase for the Championship series will soon be ending on August 25th at Performance Hobbies located in Dunellon, Florida. Overall event winners will be given awards at the next scheduled event.

Our new 2007-2008 Chase for the Championship series will have some new twists. Fred Reep President of R/C Monster Motorsports has developed the R/C Monster Motorsports "Iron Truck" Challenge. Iron Truck challenge, you ask?

R/C Monster Motorsports will be coordinating the running of three separate Chase for the Championship series in south Florida. The series will be held at Performance Hobbies, Extreme Hobby Zone, and Ronnie Setser's Customs Raceway. Each location will hold 12 races over the next several months. A total of 36 races in all!

The way this series works is that you can race at the series near you or race at all locations. It’s up to you. The more you race the more you could win! The racer with the highest point total in each event at a location will win the Chase for the Championship series crown for that location. Racers will be able to drop their two lowest finishes at each location. Each racer can miss a total of 6 races (two from each location) in the series and still be in the running for the overall title of “Iron Truck”.

The racer with the highest point total at all three locations will take home the coveted "Iron Truck" trophy provided by R/C Monster Motorsports, Inc. The “Iron Truck” award is for the truck that has the highest point totals at "ALL" of the locations for each event. Each location will be presenting their own prizes and Chase for the Championship end of series awards.

The Chase for the Championship events will include: (There must be 8 trucks entered in a class to start the points series for that event)
