The Chase is On in Tampa, Florida!

The return of the Chase for the Championship Series continues in Tampa, Florida. R/C Monster truck racing will make its return at Ronnie Setser's Customs Raceway on Saturday, August 4th 2007.

The last time R/C Monster Motorsports teamed up with Ronnie Setser it was for the RC Monster Motorsports Jam with real monster driver Kirk Dabney and Monster Patrol. Inside R/C was on hand to tape the event which aired on the Outdoor Channel.



Race day registration will be between 8:30am - 9:30am. Racing starts promptly at 10:00am. Race fees are $15 - 1 truck, $25 - 2 trucks, $35 - 3 trucks, $45 - 4 trucks, $50 - 5 trucks. Remember save $5.00 on your entry fee by pre-registering online. Click here to register online now! Pre-registration cutoff is Friday, August 3rd at 6:00pm. Ronnie Setser's Customs Raceway is located a few miles south of the Raymond James football stadium (Home of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers) on Dale Mabry Highway.

Events will include:

  • Side by Side Racing (On Clay Surface)

  • Sand Drags (On Real Sand!)

  • Sled Pulling

  • Tug of War

  • Freestyle

All drivers entering the Sand Drag event must bring and wear their own Safety Glasses. (NO EXCEPTIONS)! The dimensions for the sand pit are: 4' x 14' (or) 4' x 20' (each lane), depending on the final space requirements. We have scaled down the dimensions from the "Real" Sand/Mud Race tracks. Here is a picture of Fred Reep’s Ofna Ultra MBX Pro Sand Racer conversion. Buggy and truggy racers are welcome in the Sand Drag event. Make sure you come prepared with the appropriate Paddle tires installed on your vehicle. The tires used on Fred's Sand Racer are; Front: Proline Sling Shot 1.66 x 4.74 #9019; Rear: Proline MAXX Paddle 3.30 x 6.20 #1084.
