R/C Monster Motorsports driver’s had to have their driving skills
in check for the Chicago Style race course at the 2006 Fall Nationals at Race
Rock in Orlando, Florida. Cooler temperatures helped drivers in the horsepower
department but drivers had a hard time controlling their truck due to the
decrease in tire traction.
Gregg Lafferty tamed the Chicago Style race course putting two of his trucks in
the finals. Gregg’s Revonator would take first place with a time of 10.38
seconds over his Super Charged truck in Small Block class.
Bari Musawwir made sure Monster Mutt stayed top dog by winning the Big Block class with a time of 9.48 seconds. Zeek Heard showed the
competition who is boss in Tuff Truck and Pro R/C Monster Truck classes. Zeek
put his Wolf Pack team truck’s Grave Digger and Batman in both the finals of
Tuff Truck and Pro R/C Monster Truck classes. Zeek’s Grave Digger would win Pro
R/C Monster Truck with a time of 10.46 seconds over Batman. Batman would win
Tuff Truck with a time of 9.80 seconds over Grave Digger.
Gregg Lafferty once again showed the competition how it’s done in Carpet Drags.
This time it would be Gregg’s Super Charged machine taking the win over his team
truck Revonator. J.D. Kelly’s Wild Thang would send Bari and Monster Mutt back
to the dog house and take the win in the Big Block class. In Truck Pulling
Spring Shaw won in the Small Block class and Zeek Heard’s Iron Outlaw out
powered the competition in the Big Block class.
