The Chase for the Championship Series is Underway

hosted the first race of twelve in the 2006-2007 Chase for the Championship
Series Sponsored by Bear Foot
and Amsoil
After Shock Monster trucks. There were many new drivers at the race. JC
Espinet sponsored by Atlantic Aerospace of Crystal River, FL brought a stable of
NASCAR themed trucks to the race. The day started out with
Steve Tash winning concourse with
his newly painted Byron’s Ford Thunder truck. Steve told us that he just
finished painting the body 12:00 a.m. that Saturday Morning! Great job Steve!
First timer Joe Rawson did an awesome job with a top qualifying run of 14.22
sec. and winning the overall Small Block 4WD Monster truck event.
Zeek Heard was top qualifier in the
Tuff Truck 4WD competition with a run of 10.78 sec. Zeek, won the Tuff Truck 4WD
event with his Losi LST powered Grave Digger 20.

powered Monster Mutt wowed the crowd with his driving skills in the Big Block
4WD Monster Truck class. Bari was top qualifier in the event and also set a new
track record of 9.88 sec.

Zeek
Heard pushed his Grave Digger 20 to the limits as top qualifier and winner of
the first ever Pro R/C Monster Truck class event. Zeek was top qualifier with a
time of 11.53 sec followed closely behind by Bari Musawwir with a qualifying run
of 11.56 sec.
Steve Tash did it again! Steve out
muscled the competition with his Byron’s
sponsored Ford Thunder Losi LST setting a new Big Block Truck Pull record with a
Full Pull (30 ft.) of 94 lbs. winning the Truck Pull event. It appears that
nobody can stop Steve.
