Short Course Racing Heating up at eXtreme Hobby Zone

Local racers were treated to a taste of big time racing with the attendance of team drivers from Schumacher and JConcepts. The latest craze of R/C Short Course racing is heating up with novice and team drivers alike. To turn up the heat even more, R/C Monster Motorsports increased the number of laps in qualifying rounds and mains. Qualifiers now run the span equal to an off-road “timed” qualifier but, still maintaining the true to scale “lap” racing.

Show n’ Shine competition had Brian Macumber taking the first place spot with his new Grim Reaper bodied Associated MGT. Paul Voisard took the second place spot with his new Traxxas Slash sponsored by Florida Flips Gymnastics. Bradley Macumber’s Soul Taker took third.

Big Block Monstercross Racing had Dustin Lester taking the first place spot with a time 6:34.156 @ 15 laps. Larry Baker took the second place spot with a time of 6:56.447 @ 11 laps. Eddie Inman came in third.

Short Course truck racing had Andrew Moore from JConcepts taking the first place spot with a time of 5:36.682 @ 15 laps. Jimmie Cooper took the second place spot with a time of 6:02.672 @ 15 laps. Mark Grondin took the third place spot with a time of 6:04:194 @ 15 laps.

Short Course J82 racing had Sherwin Diaz from Schumacher taking the first place spot with a time of 5:19.091 @ 15 laps. Andrew Moore from JConcepts took the second place spot with a time of 5:20.168 @ 15 laps. Paul Wynn took the third place spot with a time of 5:30.367 @ 14 laps on three wheels.
