After a day of eXtreme competition it was time to get cleaned up and make final setup preparations for the AMP Thunder Slam Spectacular. R/C Monster Motorsports drivers set up for the pit party display and half time R/C Monster Truck Freestyle show. Craig Lowe took the controls of Mark Grondin’s T-Maxx. Craig did a spectacular freestyle performance for the crowd receiving many oooh’s…. and aaah’s…. jumping and flipping Grondin’s T-Maxx over the crushed cars. Craig also put the finishing move on Grondin’s T-Maxx on the last jump attempt. As the story was told that their was a loss of steering on the final ramp approach and instead of hitting the ramp at 30+ mph Grondin’s T-Maxx impacted the crushed cars wheel at 30+ mph! Needless to say that was the straw that broke the T-Maxx’s back. The Impact was so hard it split the truck in two! Another highlight of the R/C performance was Jason Rouna of JConcepts piloting his J82 on the floor of the Lakeland Center. Jason’s J82 was cleared for take off as it jumped ramp to ramp over 30+ feet and clearing Fred Reep president of R/C Monster Motorsports in the process. Many cheers were heard from the crowd from Jason’s performance! Thanks to AMP Live Events for having R/C Monster Motorsports back at the Lakeland Center for the third year in a row. Thanks to all of our R/C Monster Truck drivers for their continued support, great day of racing, and super performances at the show! Thanks to Team Magic Racing for their continued support with Challenger Sleds. Thanks to Jason Ruona and JConcepts for their outstanding support of R/C Monster Motorsports.
Last but not least, thanks to Rich Muller and the eXtreme Hobby Zone crew for providing and eXtreme venue to support all of R/C Monster Motrosports’ racing programs!
