Posted: 7/23/2008

The latest craze in scale short track off road racing now has a home in R/C Monster Motorsports. R/C Tuff Truck racing classes have been redesigned to accommodate this new craze in off road racing. R/C Monster Motorsports now offers Nitro and electric Tuff Truck Racing based off of the new Traxxas Slash short course race truck and Traxxas Slayer Pro short course Nitro race truck. How R/C short track or (Tuff Truck) racing works:

Qualifying:
Qualifying is multiple lap qualifiers. Qualifying will have three to four Tuff Trucks competing at one time for five laps. Drivers will complete three rounds of qualifying before being seeded into the mains.

Mains:
Mains follow a short course off road racing format. After each driver has qualified, they are seeded into a three to four truck five lap main.

Three truck mains: The “Top Qualifier” and second fastest runner up from the three rounds of qualifying puts them in the A-main spot. Third and fourth fastest times are seeded into the B-main. Fifth and sixth fastest qualifying times will be seeded into the C-main, and so on. Winners of their main will automatically be bumped up to the next main.

Four truck mains: The “Top Qualifier”, second, and third fastest runner up from the three rounds of qualifying puts them in the A-main spot. Fourth, fifth and sixth fastest times are seeded into the B-main. Seventh, eighth, and ninth fastest qualifying times will be seeded into the C-main, and so on. Winners of their main will automatically be bumped up to the next main.

The A-Main:
The “A-main” in Tuff Truck racing is a three to four, 10 lap feature event. The first truck to cross the finish line after completing ten laps is declared the winner.
